About Yankeetown Community Church
Yankeetown Community Church has been a faithful part of our area’s history for more than 25 years, and we welcome you to be a part of it. We come from many different backgrounds and walks of life, and our doors and our hearts are open to all who desire to “grow in grace and in the knowledge or our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
For a detailed schedule of our regular services, please click here.
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of each month, and we practice an open communion, believing that all who are trusting in the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ to atone for their sins welcome at God’s table, regardless of their church affiliation.
On the fourth Sunday of every month, we enjoy a Fellowship Dinner, to which all are invited. A “pot luck” meal is served in our Ministry Building immediately after our morning worship service. You’ll get to enjoy some good food and fellowship, all for free.
On the fifth Sunday of every month, we have what we call a “Singspiration.” We hold it in the sanctuary during our evening service which starts at 6:00 pm. Sometimes local groups come to sing and share their ministry with us, and sometimes the talent from our own church performs. Either way it is always a blessing.
If you are unable or unwilling to walk the distance from the parking lot to the church, a friendly valet will be more than happy to park your car for you and retrieve it after the service.
We hope you’ll enjoy checking out the various aspects of our ministry highlighted on our website. To really get to know us, come join us for worship. You’ll receive a warm and friendly welcome here.
