Our Mission Statement reflects a desire to embody the Mission that Jesus inaugurated; namely, that God's Kingdom -- the reality of His Will and Way lived out in the lives of His people -- was coming to earth in and through Him. This 'Kingdom Come' Mission takes root as people trust Jesus as Savior and King.
Our Mission Statement is WHAT we do. We exist to Further God's Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. Our Core Values are HOW WE DO IT. Therefore, we accomplish our Mission by being committed to these three values:
We believe Loving God means trusting that His way is the best way. It means allowing Him to define who we are, letting Him shape how we think and feel about life, and joyfully giving all that we have to His Kingdom mission. At YCC, we promote this primarily by encouraging attendance at our weekly Worship Gatherings where we cultivate corporate and private spiritual growth.
We believe Loving People means viewing and treating all people with the same grace that Jesus has shown us. It means actively, sacrificially, and holistically serving whoever God places in our path. At YCC, we encourage this by serving within our church family through Ministry Teams and by serving our community alongside our Community Outreach Partners.
We believe Making Disciples means teaching others how to Belong to, Believe in, and Become like Jesus. It means helping people trust that Jesus is both King and Savior, and showing them how to live as lifelong students of His way. At YCC, we believe everyone is called to BE a Disciple of Jesus and to MAKE Disciples of Jesus. We promote this in all that we do, but stress it in our Groups and our ongoing Mission opportunities.
